Strengths by Design is a 2-hour coaching lab for professionals who want to craft a concrete blueprint that aligns their daily tasks with their deepest talents. Guided by the integration of CliftonStrengths® and Working Genius®, you’ll audit your energy and begin piloting a plan for more sustainable work.
Next Lab Date: Thursday, June 25, 10am-12pm CT
Please note: The workshop price does not include the cost of the assessments. You'll need to have completed both CliftonStrengths (Top 5 or All 34) and Working Genius before the workshop. If you haven't taken these assessments yet, you can purchase them independently:
CliftonStrengths: Available at Gallup.com ($49.99 for Top 5, $89.99 for All 34)
Working Genius: Available at WorkingGenius.com (~$25)
Please note: The lab price does not include the cost of LEGO® bricks. You can bring bricks from home, borrow from a friend, or pick up a simple kit before the session.
This lab also assumes familiarity with your Working Genius results. If you haven't taken the assessment, you can purchase it at WorkingGenius.com (~$25).
You know which work lights you up.
You've taken the assessment. You know your two areas of Working Genius — the work that energizes you and where you do your best thinking. You can name the work that drains you, too.
And yet — when you look at how you actually spent last week, your calendar tells a different story. The genius is clear. The way you're spending your days isn't built around it.
You keep meaning to shift things. To hand more off, to protect the work that matters, to grow toward the role you actually want. But the present keeps winning, and the future version of your work stays hypothetical.
Here's the disconnect — knowing your genius and growing toward a role built around it are two very different things.
You don't need another assessment debrief. You need to make the work you're growing toward vivid enough to move toward — and one honest look at what's keeping you from it.
You need to see the role you're growing toward — clearly enough to take the first step.

Who is this for?
You know your Working Genius — and you're ready to stop treating it as interesting data and start building your work around it.
You're in or approaching a transition — new role, new scope, new chapter — and you want to grow toward it on purpose rather than by default.
You're successful but stretched thin — doing a lot of work that drains you, and you want a vivid, motivating picture of the alternative.
You're a leader who wants to model genius-aligned work — showing your team what it looks like to grow deliberately toward your strengths.
You're a little skeptical that LEGO® bricks belong in a serious conversation about your career — but you're curious enough to find out.
Important Notes:
Bring your own bricks. The lab price does not include the cost of LEGO® bricks.
No specific kit and no LEGO® skills required — use bricks you have, borrow some, or pick up a simple kit a few days before the session.
Come with your Working Genius results. We won't teach the framework or review individual profiles — we'll put your genius to work.

The Sequence of Our 2-Hour Session
The Warm-Up
We start by getting comfortable with the bricks — a quick, low-stakes build so everyone finds their footing with the method. No skill required, no wrong answers.
The Vision
You'll build the version of your role a year from now, where you're working mostly in your genius — what it looks like, what fills your days, what you've finally let go of.
The Obstacle
You'll build what's standing between today and that role — the work you keep getting pulled into, and the honest reason it's been hard to move out o
The First Brick
You leave with one specific, concrete move to make this week — the first brick you'll shift to start growing toward the work you just built.
★★★★★
Bethany's thoughtful approach created a safe space to reflect deeply on my strengths and passions. She combines energy and enthusiasm for your growth with futuristic, strategic thinking — asking insightful questions that helped me see how my personality and talents connect in ways I hadn't considered.
What sets Bethany apart is her ability to take complex assessment data and turn it into something both practical and personal. I walked away with new inspiration and ideas about how to put my strengths into practice.

Meet Your Executive Coach
I'm Dr. Bethany Peters, and I help leaders move from understanding their strengths to actually building their work around them 👋🏻
I'm a certified Working Genius coach and a certified facilitator of the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method, and I love bringing these two tools together. Working Genius tells you which work energizes you. LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® makes the future you're reaching for vivid enough to actually move toward — because some things you can't see clearly until you build them with your hands.
This lab is where the two meet: you'll build the genius-aligned role you want, face what's been keeping you from it, and leave with one concrete first move.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
A Coaching Lab is a fusion of learning, coaching, and growth where research meets real-world leadership. It is a reflective, collaborative space designed to slow down and experiment — building awareness, testing ideas, and making new strategies stick. We'll be doing a mix of building, individual reflection, and group discussion.
-
Yes. This lab puts your Working Genius results to work, so you'll need your profile (your two areas of genius). We won't review individual results or teach the framework. If you haven't taken it, you can purchase it at WorkingGenius.com (~$25).
-
Not at all. The first part of the lab is dedicated to getting comfortable with the method, so everyone settles in. There are no wrong answers and no artistic skill required — just the willingness to build and share.
-
No. A basic LEGO® brick set works perfectly. I'll send a recommended kit link in your registration confirmation with enough lead time to order. Plan to have your bricks ready by the day of the lab.
-
Strengths by Design helps you analyze and design your current work around your strengths, using CliftonStrengths and Working Genius together. Genius at Work is more imaginative and forward-looking: you build the role you're growing toward and the first step to get there. Many leaders do both — design the present, then grow toward the future.
-
No. This is a 2-hour developmental lab, not a credentialing program. You'll leave with a vivid picture of where you're headed and one concrete move to make — not a certificate.
-
Because this is a small, collaborative environment designed for real-time insight, I recommend attending live. However, the session will be recorded, and all participants will receive the replay.
-
For this specific program, there are no refunds, except for exceptional cases such as medical emergencies.
